*** RIDE CANCELED DUE TO WEATHER ***
ALSO, BECAUSE THE RIDE IS CANCELED THE RESERVATION AT RILEY & JAKES WILL BE CANCELED AS WELL. OF COURSE PEOPLE MAY STILL MEET THERE IF THEY WANT, BUT BECAUSE OF THE EXPECTED LOW TURNOUT, THE ROOM RESERVATION WILL BE CANCELED TO OPEN UP THE SPOT FOR ANOTHER GROUP.

IMPORTANT NOTE: UNFORTUNATELY, WE'VE LEARNED THAT CASA MAYA RESTAURANT HAS CLOSED. SO INSTEAD, WE WILL MEET AFTER THE RIDE AT RILEY & JAKES RESTAURANT ON RT 31 SOUTH.

We'll meet at the High Bridge Trail Head parking lot off of Main St. to head 11 miles to the Northeast towards Long Valley @ 3:15 pm. Mandatory Head and Tail lights as we'll be riding at dusk and in the dark on our return. Of course Mandatory helmets prevail as usual. Tire width recommendations of 28 mm or wider are strongly suggested for this hard-packed limestone trail ride. Faster riders may go ahead as they're want to do. We'll ride to the coffee shop across the busy road in Long Valley for our turn around point and short rest and snack  break as we likely will not want to cool down too much before turning back towards our starting point.

Rain, ice, extreme cold, or otherwise treacherous winter affiliated weather conditions will cancel the ride portion of this event.

Upon return at ~ 5:30 pm, we'll load our bikes onto/into our cars and drive over to Riley & Jakes restaurant located at1831 NJ-31, Clinton, NJ 08809 for a pre-holiday dinner .

Directions from Columbia Trail Rail Head: Take Rt 513 South out of High Bridge, make a right at the light onto Rt 31 North, and then after a couple hundred yards make a left into Riley & Jakes.

You may join us at the restaurant even if you're not riding if you'd like, but please notify the ride leader if you're planning to dine but not ride.

Call or text ride leader: Dan Doyle @ (908) 303-4865 if you have any last minute questions or changes to your plans.
